I know the present owner Hans (Dutch) has sold the car last week to someone in the UK.
Strange because the car is LHD, but I buy RHD cars in the UK.

But for the moment I know nothing more.

I am very much able to tell you more

The car didnt make it over to the UK but to Germany instead. I picked it up about 10 days ago - picture shows it in the garage after we arrived home safe and sound.
Over the winter I am going to sort out quite a few things in the interior, going to change some things back to period 60s parts, probably redoing some of the wiring loom tidy up the engine bay and so on...

Hallo Henry,

Now I understand LHD MM7170 go to the UK.
Not the Uk but Germany.

Nice car.
For classic rally use or more common use?

Will be built with classic rally in mind (LeJog with my dad within the next few years and some other small events).
Plan so far: Stick with the white and green colour theme but bring it a step further with a green interior (combination of thick almond green carpets and darker green leather). So no stripped rally race car but always the option of making it into one without much effort - hence I am looking for a rollcage at the moment.

Hi Henry,

You are one lucky men Henry because the Englishmen didt honour the sale.
Is therefor that the MM7170 came to you.

Nice that you keep the rally colours of the car.

When at one time you are passing trow Belgium with the car give me one sign.

Good luck with the Marcos.

Hey Olivier, would be awesome to get those pictures of you! Whats the easiest way for you to share them with me?

It still needs a fair bit of work done till its back on the road but you cant imagine (well I guess you guys probably can ) how much I am looking forward to that!!!

Do you maybe have some information on the engine as well?

Guess we all know how it can drag on.....but finally back on four wheels smiling like a little boy on christmas morning when she rolled down the road.
Have replaced/refurbished front and rear subframe (sandblast, powdercoated and so on) including all the suspension parts so I might be able to drop in the engine over christmas. 1330ccm with a 266 Kent cam, 3.44 final drive - should suit the car quite nicely with enaugh power, still remaining fully "driveable" even in normal road traffic.
