The Marcos Owners Club will be celebrating its 40th birthday in 2011 by staging a re-run of the fabulous Marcos 50 event at Prescott speed hillclimb, with some special guests going up the hill.

The event will take place on July 9th-10th 2011. You don't need to be an MOC member to enter.

All Marcos enthusiasts are welcome.

More details when we have them.

It doesn't look as though anything has yet been arranged for the Saturday but there's plenty to do in the area. For example go for a ride on the Gloucestershire and Warwickshire Railway (landslips permitting).

Hello,

I'm not sure if I'm going to this event it's a bit of a long journey (expensive) for one day and I'm travelling alone so I'm not sure if its worth the back breaking journey.

But it''s looking very interesting so I have to make up my mind.

Cheers G-J

From Brian Coleman, brian.coleman5@ntlworld.com

Due to the death of my Mum, I won?t be going to Prescott and I have just received my paddock pass and two tickets for the party. If anyone is going and needs these, let me know and I?ll forward them. I don?t want anything for them, I just don?t want to see them wasted.

I have also paid for four runs up the hill

Seriously though, I think you'll be fine in smart(ish) casual. Just press a crease in your jeans!

Where were you all? We had an excellent day at Prescott but sadly only two Mini Marcoses. It should have been three but Grant had a slipping clutch and couldn't bring his. Fortunately he turned up with the family and 8 track passes so Chris and I had a few extra runs and passengers. Loads of fun! The ex-Jackie Stewart F1 BRM made three runs in the lunch breaks and sounded absolutely awesome.

From Roger Young:

Thank you for joining us at this years Prescott Revival. It was a great success and fantastic to see so many of you taking to the hill, and no major upsets.

The Prescott Revival website has already been updated with a link to one of the photographers sites showing pictures of the event, but if you have some, or some movies, we could showcase, please let us know.

Next years date has already been booked so add it to your diary now: - 12th August 2012.

That's a nice shot. If you go over the edge on that corner it's straight down a grassy bank into the woods!

Well my Prescott revival weekend just got wiped out yesterday as well. Came over from Australia 10 days ago, MOT'd last Tuesday and went to minisport for a suspension set up and a rolling road session until the oil pressure disappeared after doing the base settings!.

......hoping it is the oil pump gasket that has gone but suspect that we've wiped the crank. car was going great so absolutley gutted!

Probably still go in a 'normal' car and will bring hill passes in case the other guys can use them.

...back to Australia Monday..........minus a lot of money.....the joys of owning a MM!!

Well it turned out to be an excellent day despite rain in the late morning. It's a pity there was ony Andy Roberts and I with Mini Marcoses. I should have loads of photos of just about everyone going up the hill except me so I hope someone else was snapping in the morning.

Well car fest this weekend so I have got a busy week in the garage !! I am fitting a electric water pump which hopefully will pump the water though the engine better, the 7 port head on my car is dry decked and the standard water pump just is not powerful enough at tick over so the temperature goes up which it did at le mans, so fingers crossed this works, the car runs at 74 c which is spot on when driving along !!!!

Wanted to go but missed out on tickets. Ironic that now I've spent the cash on a respray and getting the alloys cleaned up, I can't afford it!

Well we have just got back from car fest south and what a weekend fantastic the cars were amazing, the food was great and the music off the scale !!! I was lucky to be asked to be the mini marcos with its 6 other big brothers and I know there are better show mini marcos cars out there but so hopefully I did are club proud ! There was lots of interest in the car people saying I built one of those 20 years ago !!!! So thanks again to richard of marcos international and rodger for letting me go it was a top draw weekend and perhaps next year we could have are own club stand there, next year I will def try and enter the hill climb which would be great for all marcos cars, looking forward to mini action day at combe now so see you all then
