Lovely job there Phil, I've not seen P7's for a while now, I was just about to ask if it was a recent photo, but have now seen it dates from 2005.

I must dig out my old magazines and have a look.

While on the subject of roll cages, here are a few photos from a car with a very extensive roll cage.

Hi,

Phil...thanks for the pics , that looks like the way to go, i'm sure I will find someone to fabricate me one.

Neil....what can I say. The rollcage is extensive. Sure I will perhaps borrow an idea or two.

cheers

Grant.

Grant,
sure there must be plenty of people in Scotland who could fabricate a cage for you - good luck with the repairs and hope the MM is roadworthy again soon. The triangulation on Neils pics is worth incorporating Grant whilst you are building a cage. I still need to modify my cage at some point to pick up the front tower bolts.

Neil,
I think this is the Mk IV that was for sale a few years ago with 6007 via Banks Mini garage owner Mark Nolan. 6007 went to a guy who was going to restore it to proper Mk1 configuration.

Stuart,
afraid the Pirellis were bought a long time ago -around 1997/98 - to enable me to mount the wheels and do the body mods. They will be replaced with 008's when the car next see's some use...not easy when I am in Australia and the car is down the road from you near Stockport.

Ah, Just nipping to the garage dear, takes on a whole new meaning. P7's were very good when new, when they got half worn the grip just vanished, I couldn't turn the steering wheel with them on these days though.
