"A sports racer built in the mid 1960s, it looks like an early Elva sports racer. It is aluminum and fibreglass construction with a backbone consisting of a 10" pipe connecting the front and back bulkheads. It is Mini Cooper S throughout including all drive train and suspension parts. It has a badge on the front which also has COX and GTM moulded in the plastic but not highlighted. I think this is at a track in the UK in the 1970s. The driver was running 10" wheels all around but the back tyres were a little large as you can see." (photo courtesy of G. Harris) |
