This came about when Marcos were building Mini Marcos Mk.Vs for export to Japan in the 1990s. Rover was making a lot of fuss about supplying new Mini parts so it was easier for Jem Marsh to buy complete Minis and strip out the mechanical bits. He was then left with the shells which he then rebuilt into complete cars, presumably with refurbished parts. The cars were exported to Japan and sold through Checker Motors. This one has been brought back to the UK and has Cooper 'S' mechanicals. |
