Deep Sanderson 105

Chris Lawrence built the twin engined 105 in 1962. As can be seen there is a complicated linkage for the gear change, and twin master cylinders for the hydraulic clutches. Two radiators are welded together at the front and the single fuel tank is located behing the driver. The car is seen here at the Downton Engineering Works Social Club's Mini day at Gurston Down speed hillclimb in June 2009. Chris Lawrence drove the car on the hill and is seen in pictures 7 and 8 in the overalls. (Photos © 2009 R. Porter)
