“Re the Brookland Swallow - I designed and prototyped it. Mechanicals were stock Mini front sunframe and mechanicals,
one reversed Mini trailing arm at the rear. Sheet steel perimeter chassis, about 4" x 7" deep. Body had extended hooded Mini
wings, Riley 1500 bonnet, Renault 5 screen and frame, Mini doors, rear end was Volvo 1800 with 18" cut out of it, and the
fins extended to points. Mentioned in Chris Rees' book on three-wheelers. Lots of poeple wanted one, but it was too heavy
to drive on a bike licence, which doomed it.”
