Does anyone have a rusted out van tank that is ready for the scrap yard but could still be used as a template? |

I was just looking at some materials I have gathered over time and I remembered once hearing that when Marcos Cars were carrying out their production run of 50 Mini Marcos for homologation purposes, that some may have worn more than one chassis number so as to make up the numbers. I may have found evidence of this with my car. The 1967 Sports Car Show ran from 4th-14th January and the RAC certificate (for homologation) shows the manufacturing start date of cars serial numbers 7006-7057 beginning on 1st February 1967. Thanks to photos being taken at the time, we know 370JEA was at the car show, which would imply that its chassis number should have been in the range of 7000-7005. But its actual number is 7039. Something not quite right there! I have always thought that a run of 39 cars was a lot to do, then to eventually decide that maybe a factory demo car would be a good idea |
