I had the car out to a track day, and had a lot of fun, but also revealed a number of other gremlins I need to work out (as expected).
I don't overheat under low load, but I do overheat pretty quickly under full power. I believe I have a mixture issue, and maybe a bit of vapor lock that I need to sort out.
The car handled surprisingly reasonably considering I haven't yet gotten around to installing the front dampers yet, and it brakes solidly and straight with my just eyeball amount of adjustment on the proportioning valve (currently a single master cylinder brake setup).
The seats are an extremely tight fit for me with a helmet on. If I remove the bottom cushion of the seat, I can just sit in the car with my helmet grazing the roof, bashing my head every little bump. Without the helmet, I can comfortably add the bottom seat back in, and drive comfortably.
To make a bit more room on the seat, I actually have the outboard side of the seat a bit higher than the inboard side, to lean me a bit towards the center of the car -- the inboard edge of my seat is just sitting on the floor, and the outboard side is up about an inch or so. This seemed to make a slight improvement in the headroom, and also the driving position.
