Hello to all,

I have purchased this car from its current owner and look forward to restoring it over the coming weeks...months...years....who knows!  I have been on the look out for a mini cooper for a while but found the whole process a little painful with reshells and high prices etc.  So I saw this and thought "why not" and took the plunge.

It was previously owned by a gentleman who passed it on to his daughter and from her it went to its current owner.  It has a 1275cc engine which turns over, the bodywork is in good shape and it comes with a few odds and ends.  Intention is for it to be a fast road and track car for sunny days out at Goodwood and the like.

I am new to Minis - I own a 1969 Lancia Fulvia 1.6HF and am a member of the Lancia Motor Club.

I will no doubt be on here frequently looking for information and providing updates.

Cheers,

Jonathan

Hi Jonathan, welcome to the forum. It looks like a nice project to get stuck into over the winter! You'll get plenty of advice on here if you get stuck.

You can only upload one photo at a time to the forum. If you want to do several in one post then put them on a different site like photobucket.com or flickr and put image tags in your post, but it's fine as above.

You are always welcome to send me new photos to update the car's page on the Mini Jem Gallery.

Hi Jonathan,

You mention Goodwood, are you in West Sussex?
I live near Billingshurst if you need any help or advice.

Hi Allan, sadly not!  I am in Harpenden, Herts but have been to Goodwood a number of times on track days and of course for the Revival and FoS.  Appreciate the offer - I am sure I will be asking for plenty of advice.
