Mini Jem for Sale. I have finally decided to sell my superb Mini Jem, RSM 2, chassis number 1091, first registered on 8.12.1969 as a Jem. I bought the car in a dilapidated state on 27.11.2009 and have been having the car professionally restored, see pictures on page 21 of the Summer 2012 and Page 19 in the Spring 2013 editions of the Club magazine and in various entries in the Mini Jem Forum too. The body has been professionally stripped back, fully restored and painted in BMC Iris Blue and the bonnet bulge has been reversed and enlarged to accommodate the 45 DCOE Weber carb. The car is fitted with a genuine MED 1380cc Clubman engine, straight-cut gearbox, ultra-light flywheel, competition clutch, bespoke stainless steel exhaust and an MED electronic dizzy. It is still being run-in, having covered only about 800 miles in a Cox GTM Coupe, which I used to own. The car has professionally restored dry sub frames with new Hi-Los, new Konis all round, all new brakes including genuine Cooper S 7.5 front discs and all new brake pipes in either copper or braided Goodrich and it has new 1.5 degree negative camber bottom arms. All new, original type, Mini lights have been fitted, with the rear reflectors incorporated in the side/brake rear lenses for neatness. The car sits on 4.5, reverse rim, Cooper S wheels with new YokoA-008s. The car has a new Club front windscreen and new Lexan polycarbonate windows to the doors and rear hatch. A new Mini van fuel tank is fitted together with a new Facet fuel pump. I have a new wiring loom ready to fit too. It now almost finished and just needs re-wiring, the instruments fitting and the car re-trimming. I have the original Fell Point seats, which are in reasonable restorable condition and I have all the other original trim too, but this is not to the standard I require, so this will need renovating. I have bought basket weave material, as near to original as possible, for this job. The car will be sold with all the Mini Jem spares I have accumulated over the years including a full history file and numerous photos of the re-build. The car is on SORN and it will need to be trailered away. The car has been built with no expense spared and I have bills for over £12,000 so far. I will accept £8,500 firm, no offers. I live in Liverpool and the Jem is available for viewing at any time. My e-mail address is lilacmog@sky.com if you would like more information, photos or an appointment to view.

Hi Jeremy, How are you getting on with the sale of your stunning Jem? I'm considering passing mine on to the next generation later in the year and would be interested to hear how much response you've had. |

The Mini Jem has been sold to a Club member from Bonn in Germany. He also has a Mini Marcos. |
