Looking for a bit of advise , has anyone fitted Mini Mk4 door locks and striker plates to a Jem and do they fit on the rear of the door without space issues onto the b post.? I want to get rid of the Mk1 locks as my car has Marina / TR7 Door handles and the mk4 locks would be a better bet than than retaining the inner handle mechanism of the Mk1. |

From memory I don't think there's enough room hence the Marcos having the small window at the back. The last Jem I drove had the window locks (I haven't looked at the current one in a while 😢) and mk1 internal latch. But anything is possible have a look at motorbike seat release mechanisms. Mike |

I think it's possible to fit Marina/Ital recessed handles. The ex-Colin Wrigglesworth car has them but I don't know how they worked. |

I’ve got the marina recessed door handles And they work well, just feed of the mk1 locks/catches which for me could be better if I could make the mk4 strikers fit. Would also be a better fit for the recessed handles which were designed to work off of something similar to mk4. |
