hallo,
I was looking for information about the subframes of the mini marcos. I know they are from mini but witch year subframes you can but beneth a Mk2 MM? Do anyone knows it?

Hi Joost, The subframes you will need are the type with four bolts or stud's that go up through the top cross member and not the type with two large bolts. The picture below shows the four bolt type and to the left just visable the two bolt type. |

hi,
tnx for the info, but i havent seen that sort of subframe for sale on mini sites. They are till 1976 subframes. It are dry pre subframes?

Hi Joost, That's right, although you can use wet subframes with dry suspension (but not vice-versa). If you fit a dry front subframe you need the spacer plates as shown in Paul's photo, or you make your own spacers. The wet front subframe doesn't require these but it does need bump stops on the top arms. For the Mini Marcos you might need slightly longer bolts or studs for the subframe towers than used on the original Mini. You also need to make up some spacers to go under the tails of the subframe where it bolts to the floor. |
