I'm about to order some Mini Marcos rocker cover badges for the normal A-Series rocker cover. The proposed design is shown below but I would welcome any comments before I go ahead, such as:
Would you buy one? The price would probably be £2.50. Is the colour OK? It will be anodised aluminium so silvery letters on blue. Should the background be oval as on the MM logo? I don't think it's as good. Do you want rivet holes? The proposal is to use a self-adhesive, temperature resistant backing.
Doing two colours will be more expensive, as will a small quantity so Jem badges won't be feasible. The badges will have other applications, and can be stuck on the front of alloy rocker covers.

I thought about that, and tried a number of designs before I settled on the above. The badges is 100mm x 25mm so the logo would have to be very small to fit on. Also the logo is red, white and blue so unless it was just printed in one colour it would be much more expensive. I wanted the lettering to be very visible when you look at the engine, so I decided to go for a simple design based on the inside bit of the logo. The blue rectangle looked better than an oval. Anyway we know what the 'blue oval' means (a four-letter word beginning with F). |

Like the idea Richard. Measured the space on my rocker cover and it would appear that you could go up to 30mm wide which will give you a bit more space. Cost aside, I would quite like the diagonal red flash if it could be incorporated. |

Hello,
An oval would be nice, more the looks of the MM badge it self.
Cheers,
Joost |

This is the oval version without the red flash. It's much harder to get the lettering looking good. |

Like it Robow! Still think the red flash would be nice - also would fill up some of the white space on the left and right. |
