Oh no on the contrary, the mk4 are the more comon models, while mk5 are very rare.

Not necessarily. Mk. Vs are newer so might be worth a bit more if they're in good condition. However it's 12 years since they were last produced so a good Mk. IV is worth more than a scruffy Mk. V. In my opinion the D&H Mk. IVs were the best made shells, though they did have some off days with the moulds.
Although only 65 Mk. Vs were produced that doesn't mean they are worth any more because of rarity. A car needs to be both scarce and sought after for its price to go up. |

To be honest I think you will be lucky to get the start price of £500. People in the UK won't pay much for a bare shell and people on the continent who will spend the money normally want a running car. The fact it is a Q plate makes it less desirable. I hope you prove me wrong, Good luck. |

the q can be removed
when they use the donor car they can re-register it as a mini marcos with the new reg |

What do you mean? A Q plate is a disadvantage when it comes to importing a car into some countries e.g. France. They don't want to know, which is why I have a Q-plate Jem. In some countries you can't build kit cars but you can import classic cars and restore them. Registering the car as new in a foreigh country may not be an option - you have to import it first and that requires proper documentation. |
