Neil,
My car came to me via Japan where it was registered in the past.
When it arrived in Australia I made it road worthy and presented it for full road registration.
Because it was built in 1967 the Australian Design Rules which began to come into place in 1971 did not apply. It only needed to be in a general roadworthy condition.
It has a a ground up rebuild in the past few years and will hopefully be back on the road and racetrack as I have built it to full fia spec as an Historic Sports car in the next few months

Hello,

Thanks David for the photos, do you have more?

No speedo, so one little problem  for Belgium MOT you must have speedo.
But Belgium MOT are always one little bid difficult (you dont go on mondays).
My Midas Gold: 4 month to pass MOT

Normaly I will go for the car next weekend.

Cheers,
Denis

Sorry Denis , David isn't a member of this forum but he is a member of another forum that I am on, he was interested in the car a while back and went to see it and took those photos and posted them to IMOC forum, I just copied them and posted them here.

I knew the car from back in the mid 90's when it was owned by Richard Gledhill, he used to bring it on Club runs and had it at the IMM in 97.

Hallo Neil,

When I understand it good, there was lot of people interested in the car.
But why didt they not buy the car (asking price)?
I think it was one fair price for me.
But I dont now verry good because its my first Mini Marcos.
I was interested because its was one Irish one (more special than one UK Marcos).

Drive the car back home will not be this weekend but the weekend after.

Cheers,
Denis

Denis,
I'm replying because I don't want to put Neil in an awkward position. You are aware that the car is not actually registered as a Mini Marcos so you need to make sure that you can import it into Belgium. Kit cars on donor registrations aren't exactly rare but some countries are more fussy than others when it comes to importing them. It's possible that some of those interested have run into problems or have backed off because they suspect that they might have difficulty importing the car.

Don't you think the Smart Roadster headlights would look good on the Mini Marcos?

PS Happy St. Paddy's Day to one and all!
