I've been using impluse type rev counters - both direct connection and induction type - with electronic ignition - both optial and Hall effect - for a long time and haven't had that sort of problem. |

Thanks they are very good points, particularly the angle of the clutch and brake pads.There also seems to be little other than fresh air for the front of the pedal box to connect to. Admin, you must be lucky with your paticular tacho or not reving it very high. They will indicate in many cases but not much more than waving hello. As an Instrument maker for the past 25 years I have had many people who have had problems so much so that we have circuits made for all of the tacho's from the 60's and 70's to overcome the issue. |
