As a result of the other thread where there is talk about reproducing the original dashboard  (see this thread http://www.minimarcos.org.uk/cgi-bin/forum/Blah.pl?b=MM,v=display,m=1332547573,s=0 ) I thought it would be interesting to have an inventory of various dashboards.

I don't know if originally cars came with or without a dashboard (was there an extra fee involved if you wanted one?) and how (if at all) they evolved through the production years.

Either way, this is what is currently in my car:

And these are some examples I found in the gallery here:

Maybe others can post pictures of theirs here and it could serve as an inspiration/reference topic?

The first is very beautiful (class and racing)

The second is classic, simple and effective, very nice.

The third, very racing is different that we can see somewhere else.

I think that i prefer the first !

Hi Jeff,

I think it is Neil's car, I owned it for a while ten plus years ago.

Not my car,

It actually from a MkIV that was for sale in Northern Ireland a few years back, I can probably find the chassis number if you need to settle a dispute

That's the one, Fred Grange had it for sale. I presume you have got rid of the cobwebs by now

Fred also owns one of the Irish built Mini Marcoses, I have been chatting of late with Eamonn Ledwidge with regards to the dashes in the Irish built cars, these were built by Dave Dunne in 1967 from the MkIII moulds but they seem to have their own unique dash, has anyone else seen one like it on a non-Irish car ?

This is EL's Marcos.

A bit more detail.

These are the dash from MI01R

This is a Marcos Ireland car that was discovered in a hedge behind an equestrian centre in Drogheda last year, chassis number unknown.

Well, that's 3 out of 40.

I think its reasonable to assume that it was a dash design exclusive to the Irish built MK3 shells.  Having said that, something will pop up soon to disprove me.

I was over there in the days that these were being built and a regular visitor to DD's workshops, however, I cannot recall the dash configuration.  Will ask him when we next speak.
