there you go got the hang of this now so what do you guys think, should have it back home in the next hour or so.Think i am going to bond it in to the shell and have it permanent, having put flip fronts on mini's their a pain to get right and unless they are surported really well will shimmy. I can't wait to get started.

Looks good!

Out of curiousity, is there a story behind needing the front end?

i bought the car with the front cut off and a replacement one which i didn't really like the look of, since getting the new panels back and comparing it with the car i will be reinstateing the front rather than doing a flip front.

Ah ha!
You must have bought the car I was considering last spring.  There is another post about it.

Does the car have lowered floors and a roll bar?

Out of curiousity, what's with the headlight cutouts on that? Looks like you'll need to do some cutting to get some in there? Did they do the moulding with the headlamp covers in?

yes the car has got a roll cage of sorts in it. The front has been cut off it some time ago there was another front with it which had not been fitted, the styling i did not like one bit i'm afraid, however it had been derived from a marcos the the headlamp buckets will be going in to the new front end. I'm not bad with fibreglass but not having the correct thing to go by was a problem, however it has now been resolved so quick and easy i am well chuffed. I will keep everyone posted on my progress as it happens. The floor has been lowered by the way. The reason for the lack of headlamp buckets was the mould was done for a track car so the covers were just left in and moulded over.

I have two headlamp recesses which presumably were cut out of a car to save weight for racing. Please contact me if they are of interest to you.

Completely unrelated, from your before photo...I noticed that you have the holes for brake/clutch masters on both sides...was your car swapped between LHD and RHD at some point? It's on my mind because sometime soon, I'll need to cut my holes into my car...it doesn't have them on either side.

If you happen to be able to get me some measurements as to the distance from the subframe mount towers and distance from leading/trailing edge of that shelf, it would be super handy...
