I know that the club doesn't do Mk1 headlamp shrouds, has any one got a spare pair of Mk1 headlamp shrouds that they don't need and are prepared to sell? Cheers Gary |

Just wondering if we could get a batch made. How much interest would there be? We'd need to make a pair of patterns from a Mk.I car. |

What were they made from?
If they were GRP I could probably duplicate them if I had an original. |

They are made of 'perspex' like the other cars, I have a passenger side one complete and a broken drivers side, the previous owner trod on it! It's been glued back together with grp for the time being but doesn't let light through. The shrouds are slightly longer than the Mk3 items. I was just trawling to see if there were any available in the club. But not sure of the demand for these from Mk1 owners? Cheers Gary |

Hello Roger/John, Yes referring to the 'perspex' headlamp covers. I have one, the other was broken by the previous owner of my Mk1. Really the last part needed to get the car complete. Any help appreciated before I attempt to make them myself. Cheers Gary

Thanks Mike, The missus is away the end of the week, looks like I have an alternative use for the fan oven. It may be interesting but will let you know how I get on. Cheers Gary |

I have a set of new old stock MK1 headlamp covers that are still in there original wrap. I need them for my car but this are the ones that Marcos sold new, maybe someone can make a mould?

Hello Joost, Thanks for the reply, I would hate for your new ones to get damaged in the process. I still have the passenger side one, (UK passenger side), and what's left of the drivers which I have crudely glued together before going down the route of trying to make a mould and then make one. Before I did that just wondered if anyone had done that before. Really need to get the car finished once and for all as I may need to sell it to make space for another project. Regards Gary |

Hi Gary If you (or Joost) would be able to send me a pair of headlamp covers for a Mark 1 Mini Marcos, I would be happy to ask our existing supplier if he will make some for us, using yours as a pattern. I'm sure the company would cope with one of them being "crudely" glued together!! cheers Roger Club Secretary |

Morning Roger, I'm happy to do that. As you know the Mk1 are slightly longer than the later ones. It's for the Barry Price/Stef Jones Mk1 race car would like to get it finished and this is pretty much the last bit to complete it. Unfortunately its looking like I will need to sell the car as another potential project is looming and I need to realise funds for it. Many Thanks Gary |

Thank you Gary, that is kind of you. Roger please keep us updated on the proces. The headlamp cover fixing kits have been unavailable for years now. Is there a chance to reproduce these as well? I never had an original (club) set, if there is someone who does they can be copied. I can make a 3D model acompanied with a 2D drawing if necessary.
