The car is using later model column switches for the start, wipers, horn signal and hi/lo beam .  Dash switches will be for the headlamps and park lamps, and the 4 way flashers. I am keeping the fuses inside the car to keep the engine firewall cleaner looking. They have a very large range for front and back movement, so good to adjust for different sized drivers. This is something I think I'll need to do (eventually) for a more comfortable seating position. Car's coming along nicely by the way. Cheers, Logged Offline Reply: 36 - 72 Mike_Smith Posted on: May 10th, 2022, 17:49:38 Minimum Member Posts: 72 Graham, I used some 3/4 inch X 3 inch rectangular tube, cut a section the width of the Miata front mount, one for each side. I then drilled through, small hole on bottom for bolt, larger hole on top so the lip on the underside of the Miata mounting tab fit into the top hole. Top hole is large enough to center the dimple on the Miata seat bracket. The lower one is sized for the mounting bolt. I will clean these up, repaint the hinges and install with new bolts and nuts. Battery cables are run inside up into the dash area and passed through the firewall using brass studs and nuts.
