My preference is to use the black sticky gaskets for the Metro Turbo. They're made by Payen and I've never had any problems with them. The usual problem on 1275s (particularly if rebored) is that the thin bit between cylinders 2 and 3 blows out. In your case it looks like it was blowing between three of the cylinders and the push rod tubes. Perhaps the rear studs weren't properly torqued up?
The pic was OK! |

After measuring and a discussion with a engine builder what is the best to do, the result is that there will be new pistons placed (+ 0.40) and the rest will be checked so I have strip my engine.

My Omega forged dish 060 pistons will be here in the last week of january. Now I have a 1293cc it will be 1330 after engine overhaul. Head is 31-37 very highly modified with bronze valve guides and racing rockers. Maybe I put a new racing head or fit the current one. Will post pics within a couple of weeks. |

Hello, Wednesday is my engine returning from the engine builder. Sadly I am not able to see what the finished product will look like, as I am starting a new career. I hope to start the rebuild in a weekend in the near future.

Hello I am back today started with building up the engine
We first placed the camshaft and then placed the crankshaft and torqued it down and fitted the pistons.

Last parts sand blasted.

New tool a engine hoist.

This is the old bearing of the primary gear we machined it of and made the new one fit on a lathe.
