Yes mate I was very surprised just how different the MkIV is compared to the MkIII in many areas.
Still, if it's stiffer it should go around corners better
You have Yahoo email btw. |

I'm surprised at that. My Mk.IV is definitely more flexible than the Jem (which is more like the Mk.III). It tends to wind itself up first and then go round the corner whereas the Jem does what it's told straight away. |

The decideldly average British summer has meant that progress on the bodywork has been slower than I would have liked, so yesterday I moved the Marcos to a garage in Stoke.
I've only got the garage for 8 weeks or so, but it should enable me to make some headway, and not have to worry about the weather!

Progress!!

Now all I have to do is train Jonathon to run at 70mph whilst holding the new front on!
Many thanks to Alan Brown for supplying me with the front end. |

Way have you grinded the front out? I had the same cracks on my yellow car and you can easily fiberglass it back in place from the inside. Then grind the cracks on the outside en fiberglass that as well. So you can save you frontend for later on! |

Hi Joost,
Unfortunately there was very little fibre glass left, who ever had repaired it previously just used a bucket full of body filler to fill a big hole. Here is a lump of it after removal..

Hey Craig,
Where you have rubbed it diwn on the roof and the rear end it seems to be standard D&H "Instant Fade" Orange gelcoat.
The front seems to be baby blue gelcoat - has it had another front end on it in the past do you think? |

No mate, thats yet more filler that had been applied over the damage.
Here it is after sanding it off, and grinding out the cracks..
