Oohh, I hope he sells it for the asking price, then I might be able to convince the missus that the 1967 MkIII shell thats been sitting at the side of the garage for the last 9 years is actually an investment rather than a eyesore .

Well there seems to be a number plate in the pile of bits and it isn't a Q plate so perhaps the single donor Mini was a 69 .

I've seen this car a few years ago. The odd bit was that this mark4 has later style door handles and catches. Looks well done, but an aftermarket job. The guy selling it has a mini resto business, and I'm guessing he hasn't the time to finish it himself...

yes,  he specializes in ringers (revin in usa speak) to the usa market. i spoke with him about ths car, he is fixed at 3500 quid which i think is a little over 2 times what it is really worth.

right,  he says he won't take less than 3500,  i offered him 1600 as i think thats all it worth in pieces.  he says he has over 6000 into it?

You might wanna look at it before offering anything else. The re-fibreglassing was more like another later of fibreglass over the whole underbonnet area. I'm sure it works... But not how I'd do it. I do want the seats tho!
