Hi again guys

I have made an enquiry about a car that currently is for sale in Denmark.

I have found it here on the webpage, and it seems that the MMOC have been involved with it. Does anyone of you have some info on it?

http://www.minimarcos.org.uk/memcars/7012.html

Here is a couple of additional pics of how it stands now. It is fairly complete with engine, but without the head. What do you recon it would be worth?

Hello and welcome to the forum.

The value of that Marcos is somewhere between what he wants for it and how much you are willing to pay. A smartarse answer, but the few that do sell are so varied in age and condition that you just can't tell.

Good luck

Yeah i feel that the price is a bit steep, but then again i want the car, as it is one of the homologation numbers.

I wasn't actually planning on getting a MM right now, but as this is available in Denmark, i will give it a go.

Iam currently finishing a 5 speed gearbox conversion on my roadcar. A 1970 Lotus Europa S2.
So that will have to be on the road again before anything happens to the Marcos. (if i get it)

But i was hoping that some of you knew the car, or maybe could tell me more about the homologation cars serial no. 7006-7057? It says that the last were build in 1968, but this is registred as a 1970? Can it be that it just was registred in 1970, but was actually completed in 1967-68? Or have Marcos maybe played a little with the homologation series?

This is 7012 btw, and i am a little surprised that it has a rear hatch? Can anyone elaborate on this?

Are there any members with a FIA Mini Marcos racer? If so what class are you running in?

BR
Dennis

A brave man, with a europa and a mini marcos you will have no spare time! I should know I've had both for the last 20 years..... very rarely have both been working properly at the same time. But don't let that put you off, they complement each other wonderfully.

That is nice to know. My Europa is allmost ready to hit the road. Iam allmost finished with a NG3 5 speed conversion. I have only driven it 3 or 4 times since i bought it in november last year.
Here are some pics of it:

It's the car we built in 48 hours (including two 6-hour breaks) at Stoneleigh Kit Car Show in 1991 to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Mini Marcos and its relaunch as the Mk.V. I have a stack of slides somewhere but they need to be scanned. The wiring was a bit neater when I'd finished with it!

The car has changed hands a few times since then, and has been repainted - it was sprayed a lighter shade of blue.

I just found out that the car have an non original dashboard. Are the original ones still available? Or alternatively does anyone have an original centrepod dash for sale?

Kind regards
Dennis

This type of dashboard is still made by rae davis on special order. He has the moulding for it. His contact details can be found on the web.
