From above. Note the frame on the Jem goes into the slot; on the Marcos it just screws onto the face. The Jem has no external handles so it has a panel lock to secure the drop light from outside. The white door is off my TMJ. The spare ones are painted black and have hinges.

good afternoon, thank you very much for the info, I first want to disassemble and remove the doors you have now, and if you keep looking at the frames of the original door, and then with quiet time and try to get some original doors or a mold to manufacture,

I think the window frames, where fitted, are the same dimensions for all marks of Mini Marcos. The main difference is that the Marcos ones were usually polished or chromed brass whereas the D&H ones were formed of aluminium channel painted black. I haven't got the dimensions to hand but I have obtained a new set of Lexan door windows for a Mk.IV from ACW Motorsport Plastics so they may have patterns. If not I can make some.

Mk4 and mk5/6 doors are the same except for the catches mk4 uses mk1/2 mini catches mk5 on uses later mini catches. I'm fairly sure mk3 and 4 doors are the same aswell but that needs confirming. I have moulds for mk4 doors but I think I changed the catch set up as I made them for a mk5. I can make some for 250 a pair plus postage but I can't help with the metal frames.

Yes the moulds were take from mk4 doors though the catch area may require work as I can't remember what I did there as the doors I made were to take later mini catches.
It is possible to fit frameless perspex windows we have fitted them on my brothers (allan brown) mk3 race mini Marcos though possibly not the best thing for a road car.

Cristian,

Your car was converted to Gullwing by Mike Crawley, from Shavington in Crewe.. I've not seen him for a few years now, so not sure if he still lives there.
