The MM and I had a successful time at the Geelong Revival last weekend with the Marcos receiving plenty of admiring glances and taking home a First in Class trophy for the quarter Mile Sprint event.
It was also nice to catch up with fellow MMOC member Phil Smethurst and his son Sam who have now moved to Victoria (Aust.) and brought his pair of Marcos cars over from the Ol' Dart.

Good to meet 'ya Steve and brilliant result on the sprint. I thought some of the Mini's were in your class but guessing Kenworthy's rapid one was in the full race (Black?) group.
The MM looked and went superbly well......perhaps we can have another one lining up alongside you next year??!!(though it will be a lot shabbier and a bit slower I think!). Sam enjoyed the day in spite of the wet start and thinks we should be entering our MM in the hillclimb section next year "as they do big skids!!"

Regards.

Phil

Phil, Minis run in the Historic Touring Car category, the Marcos is classified as a Production Sports Car .

Here's a link to a short video Phil took of one of the runs:
