A lot of the steel had rusted away and almost everything needed replacing. However this didn't matter as I was only after the GRP body to put on an experimental chassis I've designed.

You need al lot of money and time for this project and that special chasis is complicatet to build by yourself. |

Interesting.
I'm building a GTM coupe with a GRP chassis replacing the original steel one. |

Just when we all thought things couldn't get any more interesting along comes John with another very interesting project.
I do hope you'll be keeping us informed of your progress, I for one would be most interested in it.

Well it's perilously close to nearly being almost finished but here's a couple of photos of the early stages.
Here's the GRP chassis tub
Here's the pushrod rocker arm front suspension.
I made my own tubular subframes and had them galvanised. |

Very impressive, I look forward to seeing it in the flesh or even in photos, I'm sure a lot of people would like to see a few more photos, i know I would.

Yes. the old dash had been hacked about a lot so I cut out the whole panel and laminated myself a piece of carbon fibre to replace it. |

Looks like Dolly Sprint gauges to me,
Looks like you are doing a fine job John, best of luck with the rest of the build.

Beeaauutiful work John. Wish I could get an idea of what the whole chassis looks like as I can't quite put the bits shown together. Look forward to further updates when u have a moment. Tertius

OK. This is what it looks like now that it's finished.
Still some teething troubles but I'm slowly sorting them. |

Magnificent John. How about updating your Photobucket album with later pics of the build as I am sure many of us would be very interested to see more. |
