It was 42 years ago today that the ex 67' le Mans MM took part in the 9 Hour Indurance race in Johannesburg. I believe it came 15th, 93 laps behind the Ickx/Redman Ford Mirage.
After changing hands about three times, the car was bought and restored by Bruce Glasby in the early 90's and is now based in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe.
Bruce recalls that the shell was in such a poor condition when he bought it in Johannesburg that "bits literally fell off" while on the trailer to Zimbabwe. |

History is an amazing thing... I know i may get 'bashed' for saying this but god that Marcos looks ugly! I don't know if its the colour, or what but somehow it just doesn't look quite right...
