Now that Photobucket are blocking you from linking photos to forums and the like, what other options are out there for members to use ? |

What's the point of photo sharing sites if you can't link your photos from elsewhere? I don't know if Flickr is any better. I've seen quite a lot of flickr photos on facebook but they overstamp everything with their name. I use facebook for some, but only medium resolution copies mostly without any exif data. The other option is to use your own web site. I've put quite a few pohotos on http://www.richardporter.me.uk/exnotes/ . Again these are resized for viewing at screen resolution, which in the early days was 640 x 480px. Now it's double that. Whatever you do don't rely on an external provider for looking after your originals. |

Photobucket's latest move have lost it many friends. Unfortunately most of my posts on this site have pictures hosted by photobucket and so are no longer viewable. I'm not paying the photobucket ransom, so now trying postimg.com as an alternative. Hope this image works:
