Well after a five+ year build I finished my Jem and have had 1500 miles of trouble free motoring from her. You can see my trials and tribulations on a previous post "RT M2 1191 reborn". My original plan was to give her back to my brother-in-law but when approached he said he was now 'over her' and too old now to appreciate her, but would like to transfer the reg. for sentimental reasons (it was from his very first car (1962 Mini)). So, I'm also too old and stiff to really enjoy her and I've got limited space and I've got a VW T2 waiting restoration and I've got no space to keep her and I've.............. so reluctantly she'll be better off with someone who will appreciate her and keep her alive now she's been reborn. Tax free, MOT'd, 55mpg and at less than £100 insured for 5k miles, she's actually pretty cheap to run. I've described her as a daily runner with an odd bit of tinkering which I think just about describes her. Value-wise I'm not sure, to be honest, I'd rather see her go to a true petrol-head who will appreciate her than get top dollar, which is why I'm putting her on the club site. I've got her in the 'Classic cars by the lake' show next month in Suffolk, but after that she'll be available for sale. So anyone interested, please get in touch and we can discuss her future.

Well I've had my fun during the build and during the summer covering more than 2000 miles in her, but the time has come to pass her on to someone who will enjoy her and take her forward for another 45 years. 1191 has now passed over the channel and is resident in France with a young Mini enthusiast.
Thanks again to all members for their invaluable input during the build and for their support.
Well now onto my next challenge (VW T2).
Cheers
