hello all i have been in love with the mini marcos since i first saw one in my dads magazines when i was a nipper and never thought id own one. Id never even seen one in the flesh and i just happened to spot one outside the local lifeboat hut which is now a small garage and well to cut a long story short i am now the owner of a mk3 marcos its in a very poor state as far as the metalwork go's but non the less it is fully complete with all the glass and fixings and interior and a rat I didnt plan to buy a car at the moment as im im the process of restoring a 1959 mini and a few other toys buy im sure you lot know how much the marcos drags you in ok i thought id introduce my self as no doubt i will be asking a few questions in the future but i must say i am impressed already with the workmanship and care you guys take of these cars
i plan to fully restore this car and go historic racing so im sure ill need some help

Welcome along John.
Sounds like it will keep you busy for a week or two, please get some photos up for us to see!
Do you have a chassis number or has it gone ?
Oh, and have you joined the club yet ? |

Welcome John and Craig.
The chassis number should be on a brass plate under the bonnet on the slam panel or else on the bulkhead. It should have the letters MM or DH followed by a 4 digit number or else MI followed by a 2 digit number. |

Nice work John. Looking forward to hear about it's progress (and pics). Glad you managed to get the rat with it, they are very hard to track back down when seperated from the car |

Wolfrace wheels aren't all that rare, but they wouldn't have been supplied with the kit. Normally you would use the wheels off the donor, or source your own. D&H supplied 100+ wheels as an option with the Mk.IV kit. |
