Tim Neal's Fellpoint Mini Jem, one of only two in New Zealand, is back from the
paint shop (pic 1), nearing the end of a full restoration after twenty years of 'resting under a tree'. Tim gives
the details as:
“Stripped and bead blasted shell, all inner sill timber removed and full FIA spec rollcage in chrome molly fitted which has been designed to form a space frame with in the shell. the subframes and suspension all mount to the cage. Engine A+ MG metro block now 1380 with forged rods, pistons and ENB40 crank to miglia specs 286 scatter cam 45DCOE. S/c jack knight box 4spd. LSD. Inclined valve port/polished head est: 145bhp at flywheel.” (photos: T. Neal) |
