This car was sold by Pete Hayward in 1997 and has recently been acquired by Martin Suchánek in the Czech Republic. We had the pleasure of meeting Martin and his partner at the IMM in Pomposa (see photo).

The rear view clearly shows the asymetric shape of the Mini Marcos. This was ameliorated to some extent on the Mk. V.

Update: the pictures below show work in progress on the restoration in 2006. Martin writes: “The photos show the current status of the bodywork. The new paint will be some orange colour. Besides that, I have both subframes ready to fit. The front one will carry an A series 1380 engine with 2xHIF38 carbs, X diff.... I still hope that the project will be finished very quickly so I should be able to drive my MM to IMM 2007.”
